Can't Be Late

This is an adaptation of a comic my partner Alexis Amaris and I created for our Graphic Narratives class. We worked on the story together, I did the story thumbnails and art, and she added the text in the comic afterwards. This adaptation was a solo project undertaken for practice.
The idea is that a man oversleeps for work and is using parkour to take the most direct work in order to make it on time. The catch is that when he gets to the massive building where his company is, (and where many other companies are) the door is locked. He checks his calendar and realizes it's Labor Day and his office is closed, which is why his alarm never went off. A lot of the comedy will come from the timing and length of the shots. This was just to plan out the key moments in the story.
Just a Walk in the Park

This is an updated, hand-drawn version of the storyboard for Just a Walk in the Park. I submitted the finished animation project for my Experimental Animation class. The entire project is in the first person POV. I also wanted to experiment with smooth transitions instead of using hard cuts: scenes 1 and 2 transition through bright lights, whereas scenes 2 and 3 transition from darkness to the night sky. Below is the original storyboard done digitally in Photoshop and presented as my pitch for the final project before further development.
